The Bright Rod Run is conducted by the Northern Suburbs Hot Rod Club. One of the first runs of the new season it is always a very popular run and a great time to catching up with what friends have be doing over the winter. Bright is north of Melbourne at the base of the Victorian Alps.

The Bright Rod Run is to be held on the 5th to 7th of November 2004
Format
Entries close 15th october 2004, only pre-entries will be accepted. Family $70.00 (Couple and children under 18 years), Young Adults 18-20 yrs $15.00 (On family entry), Single Adults $45.00.
Friday 5th
1.00pm Golf Competition.
4.00pm – 9.00pm Registration, Bright Caravan Park.
(Food vouchers/arm bands given out to entrants at registration)
8.00pm-Midnight. Sausage sizzle/drinks provided at H/quarters.
Saturday 6th
10.00-6.00pm Undercover Trade stands will be open.
9.00am-11.00am Registration at Headquarters.
11.00am Line up for cruises to Wandilagong for fun day of activities (wine tastings, food stalls, face painting, music, jumping castle, rocker cover racing and much more). Free to entrants.
1.00pm-2.00pm Engine Blow up.
8.00pm- Late Fun night of rock n roll dancing at the main hall of Bright with light snacks provided/BYO.
Sunday 7th
8.00am-10.00am Breaky provided at Headquarters.
10.00am-2.00pm Main Show and Shine with a 1.30pm presentation with raffle draw.
How to get there
There are 2 ways to get to Bright from the city. Either straight up the Hume highway or via the scenic route through Alexandra and Mansfield. (Coming from the the south and eastern suburbs this is the recommended alternative).
InstructionsFrom the city, take Tullamarine Freeway change to Western Ring Road, get off at the Hume Highway exit, proceed up the Hume Freeway, by-passing Kilmore, Seymour(95), Euroa, Violet Town and Benalla(195). Go through the main town of Wangarrata(230) and just on the other side turn right down the Ovens Highway which will take you to Myrtleford (45) and then onto Bright (31).
Alternative Route Get onto the Maroondah Highway, pass through Lillydale(35) Healesville to Alexandra(130). Turn onto the Midland Highway after Maindample(185) and follow all the way to the intersection of the Hume Freeway near Benalla(190), join the Hume and follow instructions from above.
